Black Swans Exist

Black Swans Exist is a recruitment company that works only in the life science sector. It was founded in June 2020 by Per Christensen, who is Managing Director, and says it is Denmark's first recruitment company focused solely on life sciences.

It recruits for Agro and Food-tech, Biosolutions, Pharmaceuticals and Biotech, Health-tech, Digital Therapeutics and Medical Devices, filling roles from scientists and project managers to CEOs. It serves startups and scale-ups in Denmark, Germany and across Europe, including permanent specialists and leaders. Its head office is in Hellerup, Denmark, and it opened an office in Frankfurt, Germany, in April 2022. It says it reached 250 placements by the end of 2023.

Clients can choose between three models: No Swan, No Pay, charged at 25% of annual salary on placement; Black Swan Exclusive, where the company runs the whole process, at 23%; and Black Swan Executive, a confidential service for senior roles, at 21%. It also offers an online tool that compares employer costs country by country.
