Birchrose Associates

Birchrose Associates is a legal recruitment agency based in London that works exclusively with law firms in the UK and the US. It was founded in 2019 by Lauren Steff, who is Director and Head of the company and oversees its UK and U.S. operations.

The company has three teams focused on the private practice legal market. The Lawyers team connects fee earners with London law firms, from qualification through to partnership. The Business Support team places professionals into the secretarial, PA, HR, finance, and risk and compliance departments of law firms across London. The Interim team provides locum professionals to law firms. A U.S. division recruits Associates, Counsel and Partners for law firms in states including New York, California, Texas, and Washington, D.C.

Birchrose is part of Huntress, a recruitment company that reports a 25 year track record and 80 professionals across the UK. Birchrose says its team has over 90 years of combined experience in legal recruitment. It also publishes regular market reports and salary insights on the legal market.
