Beyond Bilingual

Beyond Bilingual is a Toronto-headquartered recruitment agency that specialises in English-French bilingual recruitment and also provides English-language recruitment services to employers across Canada. It was founded in 2007 by Afsi Varasteh, its president and CEO, who began her career as a bilingual recruiter in 1995. The company describes itself as a boutique agency that looks for candidates whose soft skills, values and industry experience match the employer's needs.

It says it recruits for the medical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, food, finance, insurance, telecom and industrial sectors. Employers can hire on a permanent, contract, part-time or temporary basis, and it says clients pay only when it delivers results. Candidates are offered access to unadvertised bilingual roles, interview coaching and resume support. The company is licensed under the Employment Standards Act, 2000 as a recruiter and temporary help agency.

In 2019 it acquired Anne Whitten Bilingual Recruitment, which it describes as Toronto's first bilingual recruitment agency. In the same year it completed a school in Senegal, and it says a second school, in Nepal, is under construction.
