About the Agency
Athena Search is a Perth-based business serving the mining and resources sector. It began as a specialist mining recruiter, placing people in geology, engineering and operational support roles, and later added flexible workforce solutions, including onboarding support, payroll coordination and ongoing communication with site-based team members.
Its recruitment work covers the whole exploration project team, from Field Assistants and Field Technicians through to Project Geologists, Senior Exploration Geologists, Exploration Managers and senior leadership roles. The company also provides field-based exploration support, including drill program support, sample collection and core handling.
It runs Athena Search Academy, an internal development program that offers training and competency pathways for Field Assistants, Field Technicians and Geological Technician support roles. The company says it stays involved after placing people, helping with mobilisation, communication and training coordination. Sam Howley is Managing Director.
