Arvo

Arvo is a boutique recruitment partner that places managers in finance, operations and customer-facing roles for owner-led, scaling businesses.

The company headhunts rather than posting adverts, working through its network, targeted outreach and personal connections. Its process starts with a discovery conversation about the role and the culture. It then runs initial screening interviews itself and shares a shortlist, and handles final interviews, checks, negotiations and the structuring of the offer. After a placement it checks in at thirty days, ninety days and six months. If a hire does not work out within a guarantee window, it says it replaces the person at no charge.

Arvo describes its network of senior operators and founders as spanning South Africa, the US, the EU and the Middle East, and it lists Cape Town, London, Dubai and New York as places it operates in. It has two owners: Rudolph du Toit, chief executive, who has worked in recruitment for over eight years, and Justin de Nysschen, a chartered accountant, who is managing director.
