AMG Search is a recruitment firm that works only in Financial Services and Wealth Management, placing candidates across the UK. It was founded in 2000 by Andrew McGarvey and says it has more than 25 years in the sector. Its consultants are based in Glasgow, London and Barcelona, and it has an office in London.

The firm recruits at mid to senior level into permanent, regulated roles. Its areas include financial advisers and IFAs, wealth management, corporate financial planning, sales and marketing management, business development, training and learning and development, compliance and risk, and senior executives. Clients range from national wealth managers and private banks to independent practices.

It works on a contingency basis for mid-level appointments, where payment is due only on successful placement, or on a retained basis for senior or business-critical appointments. It says it takes on a select number of clients at any one time, and that its consultants have over 60 years of combined experience in financial services recruitment.
