ALPA's employment and community services specialise in remote area recruitment and workforce development. The organisation administers the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES), a national remote employment scheme supporting job seekers in remote Australian communities to build work skills, address employment barriers, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Additionally, ALPA operates a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and delivers the East Arnhem Land Youth Model and Reconnection, Employment and Learning (REAL) Programme, providing practical support and guidance to students exploring future careers.

ALPA operates across remote First Nations communities in East Arnhem Land and Northern Territory, with headquarters and support office based in Darwin. The organisation is distinguished by its commitment to equal opportunities for First Nations people, with 80 per cent of team members being First Nations people themselves. ALPA contributed nearly AUD 48 million to member communities in 2024-25, demonstrating its substantial economic impact.
