AGORA Search Group

AGORA Search Group is an executive search firm based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It recruits high-level pastors, leaders and executives for churches, nonprofits, corporations and ministry organizations.

Rob Lauer founded the firm in 2000 to bring a more relational approach to executive search, rather than a transactional one. He has nearly 30 years of consulting and recruiting experience. The firm says it has filled over 160 searches since 2000, for clients ranging from regional market start-ups to global manufacturing firms.

AGORA describes its method as collaborative, combining the client's insight with its own expertise instead of leaving the client to choose between running a search alone or handing it over entirely. Each search begins with understanding the needs of the position and building a strategy and story for it. Its team includes five senior directors of ministry relationships, whose backgrounds include pastoral work, church and seminary leadership and Christian school education.
