Brunel

Brunel recruits for the energy transition, sustainability and renewables sectors in Australia through the business that operated as Advance Careers until it was rebranded as Brunel in February 2026. Its work includes highly skilled technical and niche roles linked to emerging technologies. It recruits local talent for multinational companies across Australia and Asia.

Advance Careers was founded in 2014 by Neil Chandaria and Chris Wellock and brought together recruitment experience from Europe, Asia and Australia. Brunel acquired it in 2024. The founders and the former team continue under the Brunel name, with offices in Melbourne and Sydney.

Services cover contract and permanent roles, individual placements and full workforce solutions. They range from end-to-end recruitment and retained search to contract-based or managed service models, where clients choose which parts to outsource and which to keep in-house.
