ABA Search is a boutique recruitment agency founded in 1986 by Valli Farmaian, who had previously spent four years with the group now known as Adecco. Mandy Farmaian joined the same year to support sales and growth, and the company describes itself as woman-owned. It has offices in South San Francisco and New York.

The agency specialises in legal and compliance recruitment and in life sciences and medical technology. Its services are executive search for C-suite leaders, department heads and managers, direct hire, where it presents a shortlist of qualified candidates, and consulting, which supplies consultants and contractors. It says it recruits in-demand people with specialised skills who typically are not looking for work.

ABA Search reports that 95% of its clients become repeat customers. It made the Inc. 500 list in 1992 and was recognised by Forbes in 2019 in the category of Executive Search.
