A1 Recruitment

A1 Recruitment is a Brisbane-based agency that recruits for the meat and agriculture industries, with a focus on trading roles. It says it recruits from within the industry, for the industry, and describes itself as built by traders.

Its main method is headhunting. It approaches professionals who are not actively looking for work rather than relying on job boards and databases. It says it places people from state and national leadership through to highly specific commodity traders, and that it recruits globally. It also says it helps clients present themselves as employers through employer branding.

Roles fall into four areas. Trading covers domestic, export and junior traders, along with logistics, procurement, supply chain management and purchasing. Leadership covers operations managers, a chief operating officer, a finance director, national managers, HR managers and WHS managers. Meat production covers engineering, environmental, maintenance, quality and electrical and fitting trades. Meat sales covers sales, business development, territory and area managers and business analysts.
